Should I spend the extra money to do a welcome back at the hotel? It is a nice touch. Not totally necessary but nice. One way of looking at it is that this is the first thing your guests will see ...
I went to a destination wedding a few months ago. We checked into the (B-E-A-UTIFUL) Bed & Breakfast and was greeted with these adorable “goody bags". Each bag had a map of the town with fun places to visit, specialty peanuts, Advil & personalized water bottles (THANKS!!), and the town’s own saltwater taffy. HOW SWEET IS THAT?!
Welcome bags are definitely a sweet little touch. If you have the extra money in your budget, why not? They do however almost act as wedding favors you could set out at the reception. You also have to remember that not ALL of your guests will stay in the hotel. So, should you just do the wedding favors instead? That, my friend, is up to you!
